The Cove Creek Development and Preservation is an organization working to maintain the beauty of the Historic Cove Creek Community in Watauga County, North Carolina. Our organization works to preserve the Cove Creek High School and the surrounding historic sites in the area. These renovations are done in an attempt to preserve the local heritage for future generations.

The primary fundraising event of Cove Creek Preservation and Development (CCP&D) is the MusicFest ‘n Sugar Grove held the second weekend in July.  This year will mark the 16th Annual MusicFest.  The photos below are from past events when the Featured Artist was Doc Watson.  Doc passed away on May 29, 2012; see Farewell to Doc.
